Clarity in the Cotswolds is proud to present our ‘Copper Lux’ Drinks Bar Cabinet. Inspired by the Art Deco era, this piece was designed to echo the past whilst being perfect for modern 21st century entertaining.
The process started with fully striping down the entire cabinet and repairing all the imperfections. Once all the wood was prepped, the unit was given a new lease of life with Oxford Navy Annie Sloan paint and waxed to seal the paintwork and ensure long term protection.
The big feature of this piece when it’s opened up is the ‘liquid marble’ paper lining. We carefully applied this to the inside of the lid, all around the central section and extensively on all three drawers – all sealed for protection & practicality. The addition of a copper framed mirror to the back of the centre section both reflects the paper and showcases the bottles placed inside.

All three drawers have also had navy baize applied selectively – ideal for cushioning glass & crystalware. Whilst the smaller central drawer is perfect for storing glass tumblers & wine glasses, we modified the two tall drawers to create extra storage for bottles of all sizes. Ingenious use of the original structure & fittings ensures the runners all function perfectly even when the piece is full of your favourite tipples.
A simple but stylish etched glass design on the main door is reflected within the mirror behind; an unusual & unique design feature in keeping with the whole piece. New lid stays, hinges and glass hangers have been finished in copper, with stunning contemporary handles and gilt detailing completing the look.
