We love small tables. They’re useful, flexible and with a little Clarity magic can also look stunning.
Having picked up this lovely & unusual 8-sided table locally, we were pleased to discover it had two drawers and that the lion’s claw feet were actually metal. So, once it was stripped down and the joints all checked & repaired as required, the entire table was painted in Rustoleum Wanderlust chalk paint and finished with black & clear wax.
We lined the inside of the drawers with floral paper and gave all the handles & castor feet a fresh coat of copper paint. The finishing touch was hand-painted floral design on the edges of the drawers.
The table was purchased by Ella, who owns and runs La Reine Cafe in Bourton-on-the-Water, and we’re honoured that our little table has pride of place in a bay window seating area! And, we’re now sourcing another similar table for the other side!
