This former hi-fi cabinet was fully restored and transformed into a superb drinks cabinet, complete with two glass hanger racks, mirrored back, magnetic door closure, locking lid stay and brass fixtures.

Inspired by the gin craze of Georgian London in the 1700s, this piece received multiple coats of Annie Sloane Athenian Black with black wax finish, and was embellished with striking antique London map paper, sealed & protected for durability.

New period style handles were fitted, and all the original hinges and lid stay were polished and protected. Brass hangers for stemware glass were fitted to the underside of the fixed shelf to accommodate 3-4 glasses each, dependant on the size of base. This still left plenty of space for bottles and barware internally. A mirror was fitted to the back of the main compartment, to reflect the contents beautifully.

Finally, painted & gold burnished lettering was mounted at the back of the top shelf.

Dimensions of this piece were 84.5cm high, 56.5cm wide, 46.5cm deep. If you’d like something similar yourself, please drop us a message.

Soon after being offered for purchase, we delivered the London Cocktail Bar to it’s delighted owners in their lovely new house in Bath… the day after they had moved in! Cheers!
