Drawer units are so common, they’re not usually considered to be a ‘statement’ piece of furniture.
But by adding several coats of Annie Sloane Athenian Black with a rich black wax finish, we turned a standard pine chest of drawers into a functional yet stylish feature piece. Embellished with striking antique London map paper, we sourced antique brass handles and added gold gilt detailing.
