Clarity in the Cotswolds is proud to present the Big Cat Chest of Drawers!
Starting life as a flat-pack piece of furniture, the challenge was set to create something far more special. With the theme of ‘big cats’ to work with, the ideas flowed and we started out with our usual process of ensuring the piece was structurally sound and all the moving parts were in good order – fixing and improving as required.
Then, we added wooden trim to the sides and all three drawer fronts, taking into account the size & pattern of the paper which would be applied and the handles we’d chosen. Once the entire piece was primed and fully painted in Pure White Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, the striking paper was added to the exterior sides & drawer fronts. The addition of leopard print paper to the insides of the drawers creates a suitably feline surprise!
