This lovely old farmhouse chair was fully restored and reimagined by Clarity in the Cotswolds.
After our usual thorough inspection, we discovered that the original seat base was beyond repair and therefore agreed with the owners to replace it entirely. We went for a thicker wood and recreated the original star pattern in the seat base, but this time using fewer (and smaller) holes to ensure the structural integrity is maintained for many more years. Finally, the owners requested English Yellow Annie Sloan chalk paint and finishing with black & clear wax.
A fresh revival for this well-worn and much loved chair!
