Here we have another piece which required restoration rather than re-invention. A Chesterfield-style slipper chair in oxblood red leather, with all the buttons and studs present, correct and importantly original.
As a used chair, there were some very minor signs of its age – it was originally purchased from an antiques dealer in Worcester in 1999 and has been cared for since then with the leather being fed regularly to keep it supple and uncracked.
A classic piece of furniture which we were quite sad to see go!
